Ed Hodgkinson Opening show – 8th December
The Scarlett Gallery finishes off the year with a show from Ed Hodgkinson. Ed (b. 1973) based in London, studied at Camberwell College of Art. His work has been exhibited Worldwide and most recent solo shows include Gallery Skilti (Reykjavik), AAFNY (New York) andEverard Read (Capetown). Ed Hodgkinsons work takes the qualities found in line drawing – spontaneity, simplicity, abbreviation & experiment, and incorporates them directly into his painting. The drawn line is like a stream of consciousness, or as Erika Naginski describes it ‘…an activity that exemplifies an imagination in flux’.
